No, neither do I. I think he was implying that they're making a mistake while the fact remains, highly intelligent and efficient people would have assessed the threat before signing off on something like this.

Such all overall threat assessments are reasonably inaccurate as you will know and usually altered in a reactionary manner, short of full DV checks for everyone which doesn't happen and even SC which is well above what refugees are subjected to, is kind of lacklustre, I'm not sure you can imply there are sufficient checks given, and this will be down to resources.

Just because someone has signed off on it doesn't mean its right, and we do have evidence that it has failed in the past.

People don't make their mind from nothing, they use their available information and using his he thinks a mistake has been made, to counter this you need to produce counter information, not just rely on "you're wrong"

Has the BBC reported the allegations yet of Abdullah Kurdi (Father of the drowned syrian boy) being a people smuggler? also mention the fact he had a job in turkey and his family had settled in turkey nearly a year ago? no because it doesn't fit the refugee narrative they are pushing

Or could it be they have rules which state they only report on things that are fairly well-substantiated/beyond all reasonable doubt and not idle gossip that makes the front pages of the Sun?

Him being a "people smuggler" is an accusation that has come from one person who was a mother of one of the Iraqi children killed, there is no actual evidence of it beyond what she's said.

In terms of him already being in Turkey for a year before they tried to cross the sea, well the BBC didn't hide that either.....

Alan and the rest of the group his family was travelling with are believed to have been Syrians from the besieged town of Kobane who had fled to Turkey last year to escape advancing militants from the Islamic State (IS) group.

I seem to remember several loud bangs in London a few years back that they didn't prevent.

Why don't you enlighten us?

Anyone who actually knows will have signed this little thing called the official secrets act.

Its fair to say they are stretched for resources however but they have certainly stopped a few attacks, etc. as well.

Something sinister is going on here. Its not in English sorry but WTF!
Some serious firepower they found there, a lot of shotguns for your close quarters combat, etc.
I reckon that is why all the border controls are going up. ;)

Muslims rioting and hitting people with bottles in Frankfurt Germany, Only happened 3 days ago -

Seriously wherever these people go they bring violence.

You do realise the whole Turks V Kurds argument is a lot deeper than them being muslims dont you????? Im guessing you've just focused on the fact that theyre muslims and not the fact that the turks have been bombing kurds in their own country for years....

Slightly odd choice of weapon - even those involved in pretty much exclusively urban warfare in that part of the world typically don't seem to use shotguns much.

However according to Reuters the ship was bound for Libya and may have no connection to refugee aid.

Does seem much more likely they are being shipped to people concerned about home defence or something like that.

Oh don't worry I'm sure they were just going to look at them.....

Imagine my surprise not to see a single answer to this question.

There isn't one.

There was loads of answers

1. Turkey, well theres about 2 million of them there, so thats that debunked, plus its ok unless youre kurdish as youre hated there.

2. Ukraine was suggested, just lol.

3. Greece. Yep, that well known country thats on its backside and cant take care of its own people, why would you want to stay there.

4. Spain, well unless things have improved dramatically since I last heard they had a big unemployment problem too

5. Ex eastern-bloc countries. Theres a reason they travel to the UK for work, the money is better here than it is back home.
