At the beginning of the month I ordered two HOF water cooled editions. I have been waiting since with the ETA changing, now there is now ETA.

I have built my new watercooled PC around a white/black theme mainly white.

I know have to consider alternatives as I could be waiting around with no PC graphics.

The obvious one is standard HOF with blocks. But I cant find the blocks online for sale.

Any suggestions welcome things I liked about the HOF would have been dual bios etc.

Also having two 8pins made me more hopefully for decent clocks.

I considered the MSI lighting but cant find a full waterblock for it.

Aren't the blocks just Titan X blocks. I know EK make blocks for 980tis. I'm also waiting on the WC edition but seems they have real supply problems.

The pins won't make any difference, a reference card can get to the same clocks of those marketed as elite super mega whatever (and I say this having an HoF), especially under water where no power is used towards cooling.

You can make a beautiful black and white custom loop using the reference models, blocks and backplates from EK and achieve the same clocks, while even saving some money.

I always thought you could achive better clocks with 2 x8 pin when messing around with higher power limits.

I reliase that this would not make a huge difference just one of the things adding to my choice ( and the dual bios as I wanted to get into messing around with that ).

:)

You could get higher clocks using extreme cooling trying to beat world records, for anything else, especially with this architecture, the reference design is all you need (the card with the highest clocks on the forum is a reference one @ 1600/2110) :)
