The Fury hits going to be huge!![]()

How can they take a hit? They need stock first![]()

The old style Kepler Titans are quite good at it.
Unfortunately the same can not be said of the Maxwell cards.
EDIT: Once again I see that this point has already been made, Damn you I say, DAMN YOU ALL.... (Referencing: Planet of the Apes, In case anyone was wondering, which you weren't, but you could have been.)

As I have mentioned before, a big Swedish retailer cleared their stock of Zs a few months ago, selling them for just over £600 a piece. I tried to buy one but they wouldn't ship abroad no matter what.![]()

We just leave them, they dribble out at 1-2 units per month and we only have 15 left.

Nvidia don't take the hit on Graphics Cards as they just sell chips to Board manufacturers.
Board manufacturers don't want a warehouse full of unsold stock, so come end of product they have to sell to retailers at a reduced rate (but this is somewhat offset with increased demand and markup at start of a products lifecycle).
OCUk will likely take the hit, but again they also take the gains at the start when stock availability is low, and by committing to larger volumes initially will get a preferential rate, increasing margin whilst the product is selling well, allowing reductions later.
Presumably based on how well previous top end cards sell, they also have a decent idea of how many to hold stock of, and how long they can continue to sell at a given price.
EDIT:
Just seen Gibbo's replies - Good insight as usual - thanks
