Hi, In 4K mode, if someone could please tell me if you see any lag in the VF when panning? It would look as if you have it in the wrong shutter speed.

Not talking about recording 4K, just move the camera left or right and see if the VF image is smooth to look at in 4K mode.

Thank you.

Thank you, no 4k video please. Shutter speed 1/50, In all other video recording modes the vf shows a nice smooth image but when set to 4K video recording the vf image gets strobey to look at, some might say its lag, the display image cant keep up with what it sees in 4K.

Not talking about 4K playback just what you see in the VF, even without recording.
Is yours the same?

i would not say lag it seems jittery as opposed to 1080 which is nice and smooth as long as the recording is ok im not to bothered to be honest ,the gx8 evf is far better ,also the jitter shows up more in my pana leica 25mm against my 12-35mm x 2.8 zoom it is a bit annoying it reminds me of auto focus issues that plagued some panasonic lenses which did show up on the footage think the 14-140 still exhibts this issue ,
a monitor is the best option for video recording allows precise focus as well although you do not always want to have a monitor attached to your camera ,think there is also a refresh rate for your evf in the menu to either 30fps or 60fps in live view ?
this might help?

Thank you paul10
So, you would see it jittery in the VF as well in 4K mode.

Its not just as noticeable in the flip out LCD.
I changer it from 30 to 60 fps, but cant say it made much difference.
As you said as long as its recording OK that's what matters.

Thank you for taking the time to test it for me.
If its the same as yours them, I'm OK with that.
Thanks.
