The labour Leader thread...

Corbyn is absolutely entitled to do what he did. But it is short sighted. It shows his lack of political judgement when on the world stage. That will be remembered by a lot of people and follow him for the next few years when people will decide whether he is prime minister material.

It is a bit pathetic that the media are shining bad light on him because he chose to remain silent rather than sing the national anthem.

There doesn't need to be a bad light on him for the public to realise he's a complete muppet. We can figure that out for ourselves.

It's a lovely catch-22 for the tabloids.

Corbyn sings: "HYPOCRITE Corbyn sings to protect Queen he wants to abolish!"
Corbyn doesn't sing: "Corb SNUBS queen"

He was respectful to the dead and gave a good speech beforehand. Remaining in a respectful silence during the anthem is not a snub.

Well if an unnamed junior conservative minister said it then it must be true.

YEah but it was on the internet too....

This!

Right, my short stay in this thread is over. Cant handle the absolutely retarded scare mongering......

I personally am ******** myself if Corbyn wins.... Last time we had a left wing government the NHS was formed, we build houses for people on low income to live in aka council houses and unemployment was 2.2%!

I mean imagine a world, where we were literally ALL in it together instead constantly lining the pockets of already ever increasing rich people! /Waits for "errrmaggurdddd, dey av earned itttttttttttt, dey pay taxxxxxxxxx moar dan us blaaaaaaaaaaa"

Funny, isn't it, how Corbyn is most popular with the young. A demographic consistently disparaged for their shallow, egostitical, and self-centred attitude is the one who favours the old ("too old" apparently), principled, and media-unsavvy guy, whilst the older demographic is obsessed over the important details of whether he did his top button up, displays overt nationalism (over quiet contemplation), or said something which sounds controversial as a selected soundbite.

It's a good thing these old traditionalists recognise what really matters. Can't imagine what state the country would find itself in otherwise.

Here's a much better one:
Tom Neil, 95, a former wing commander who flew 141 combat missions during the Battle of Britain and was credited with 14 kills during the Second World War, said: “It just shows how bigoted he is and how small-minded.”
Whilst Mr Neil is entitled to his opinion, I hope he (and anyone reading it) sees the irony of his position.

You, sir, deserve an award.

its kinda depressing that people form stronger opinions based on the mans use of the bus or if he sings the national anthem than over his actual policies....

Spot on. The Tory hate machine must really fear Corbyn to have swung into action so early.

What you should be waiting for is for someone to point out that the last time we had a left wing government and the NHS was created it was post war and the demographic and situation in Britain was very different to the one today. What you describe sounds more like a utopia now.

The electorate have always hated mudslinging in the past, hopefully this backfires on the nasty party when they get so wrapped up slinging mud people switch off to them

Yeah I was thinking about that, remembering when the Mail ****ged of Ed Milliband's Dad who had just died it actually back fired on them and gave Ed a boost in the polls.
