Given that the disappearance occurred in a 'modern civilized' country is the cost proportionate compared other cases eg Timmy MacColl
What makes this case so special?
Its amazing how much money you can embezzle from the gullable public in PR, books, tv shows in the pursuit of a lie.
Still, at least they had a nice meal

I can't see her being found and it does seem like a lot of money to spend for the investigation. But you can't put a price on someone's life.

Exactly this. I've seen so much evidence to show her parents killed her, accidentally maybe, but they still disposed of her body and have told a blatent lie for too long now. Either way they're disgraceful parents anyway.
If her parents killed her, they did the best job of disposing of her body and creating an alibi in the history of infanticide considering the money spent and size of the investigation...
They also did a pretty good job of not letting the case lie dormant - appearing to do their utmost to keep it in the public eye. Would have to be a pretty ballsy pair of murderers to do that.
Of course, I bet that's what they wan't us to think![]()
she's white and middle class ergo of course the government is supposed to spend money trying to find her
