So try make a long story short
i have a OCZ ModxStream 700W PSU but i lost my 8pin PCI-E cable near a year ago and i been using a 6pin to 8pin connector and a molex to 6pin. but this has been annoying me just on the fact how ugly it is so i went to make my own cable
First i brought a 8pin PCI-E extension cable and the port that would fit to my PSU so i cut one end off and connected it to my the bit that goes in to the PSU. Got it all together i followed the cable layout my PSU says and i plugged it in and turned my PC on and it made a weird noise and it just wouldn't turn on at all
Now the PC won't turn on when the Graphic Card is plugged in with cables
i then noticed the 8 pin PCI-E cables i brought the bit that goes in the graphic card was wrong so because of that the 12v rails went in the ground ones?
Should i take it i just bricked my graphic card or is there a way i could test?
