Madeleine McCann investigation 'cost £10 million to date'

I'll pull out what I read, all from public records. I'd imagine once you had an educated opinion you'd most likely change your minds.

I'd genuinely be interested in reading that if you can post some links? always had a weird feeling about them when I saw them interviewed, even from the very earliest days.

they both always looked 'fake' to me - though I hope I am wrong and they had nothing to do with the disappearance of their child. (well technically they have - irrespective what happened as they left her and her siblings alone)

Whether they killed her or not, they are gaining financially and are using public donations on very expensive solicitors to silence any criticism. That is unacceptable.

I haven't been following the whole McCann thing but this post grabbed my attention. Does it come with any sauce?

- Millions in donations gives you a lot of PR exposure
- Ironically, the fact that many still view them with suspicion keeps the story alive somewhat
- Unsolved/mysterious cases always have a long shelf life
- Lots of inconsistencies in their account

There's plenty of info about it on various websites. Yes, a lot of them drift into tinfoil hat territory but there's plenty of verifiable fact also. They have used Carter Ruck extensively.

I suppose if you'd accidentally killed your child and had to dispose of her body too you'd want to get back to your holiday as soon as possible too.

However, they haven't got back to their holiday but keep going on and on about it.
Hypothetically if I was to have killed my young daughter and dumped her in the sea I would have a good cry and get on with my life AND NOT KEEP BRINGING EVERYBODIES ATTENTION TO IT.

I'll dig up what I can as what I read was a couple of years ago (at the bare minimum!).

A few things which I remember though (seem to have a pretty good memory) include as I previously stated:

- Sniffer dogs were used to 'search' for the scent of death in a number of rental cars (like a police line-up). The only one which the dogs found the scent in was in the boot of the McCann's rental car. They disagreed with the effective 'verdict' so special British sniffer dogs, who had successfully identified and 'closed' around 2000 cases each, or so, were brought in. They too ended up with the same result...

As well as other things:

- There was blood on Kate's clothes; when questioned she said it was something she wears to work. Now ask yourself this, why would you take work clothes on holiday? Why even would you take work clothes which have blood on them on holiday?

- No signs of forced entry.

- Maddie's grandparents (and family friends too, I believe) considered her a nuisance at times and it is known that Kate & Gerry gave Maddie sedatives to make her sleep at night. It's widely believed that she was given an overdose which ended up killing her, hence they disposed of her body accordingly.

- Less than 3 days had passed before they went back to enjoying their holiday. Who in their right mind as a parent would stop searching if their child was apparently missing? I'm 23 with no kids and I sure as **** know I'd be up 24/7 doing what I could.

As I say, there was so much that it's amazing how they've not been given a prison sentence for neglect alone, given what their story is showing pure neglect.

This isn't the one but it holds practically all the same info. To be honest, it's more in-depth that what I actually remember reading.

No tin foil hat nonsense. All quotations and verifiable facts.

Point 2 contains the info about the dogs as I'd stated (though what I said was from memory so not entirely 100% accurate).

Have you got any sauce for going back to their holiday?
I thought this is what pee's most people off that they are searching and going on about it 24/7.

Have a read through the link I posted above.

44. Doing normal, everyday things, immediately after Madeleine ‘disappeared’, but not searching for her

The McCanns went jogging every day after Madeleine’s disappearance, even making careful notes of their times, then displaying all this information on Dr Gerry McCann’s daily blog. He even arranged tennis matches and played tennis, while hundreds of others were physically searching the area around Praia da Luz in the days following Madeleine’s ‘disappearance’. The McCanns later admitted publicly that they spent no time at all physically searching for their lost daughter.

Isnt there loads of damning remarks by the local police chief in charge of the case who got taken off it?

Like they were his prime suspects etc?

And he wasnt allowed to use the dog sniffing as evidence?

And the fact that a man matching Madeleine's description was seen carrying a child matching maddie's description to the beach a few hours before the police were called?

And i seem to remember that despite your child been abducted you decide that its a good time to wash MAddie's favourite cuddly toy from her bed which may have been touched by the abductors.
