would a G3 be a good buy at £230? Better than say a moto x play ?

id say the moto x play would be better because of the OS, its not got a 2k screen, ir blaster or removable battery like the g3 but its got the rest, the camera should be on par if not better, its got turbo charging i think which is good

id wait for the new nexus tbh, theres nothing like having a nexus

If your going to repair yourself I would recommend "replace base" just used them for nexus 4 battery and am impressed with their service. They have screens and complete assembly available for nexus 4

Are you saying the os is better because its running the latest android? Ive been really tempted by the Z3 but looking at the specs the G3 is very close to it but around £120 cheaper.

not exactly, the os on moto is closer to stock android so it will be less laggy and will get the marshmallow update so it feels newer. the LG wont touch marshmallow (i think) and will have lag here and there regardless because of all of the bloat and software features they add on top

the z3 is good, wait until the z5 is out in shops and the z3 should come down in price

lg g4 for £280 at simpily electronics, idk if its new or refirbished
