That makes sense, there are only a handful of ttk exotics that will drop and loads of year 2 old exotics so balance of probability is you will get year 2 versions.

I tried it again, shotgun kills aren't counting. Counter is still at 0%. Unless the little green bar went up a smidgen. Less than 1% with none TLW kills perhaps?
EDIT: Holy mackerel. Two games of rift and I'm now at 61%. I think it takes me three crucible matches to get going. It's like a whole different person is playing.

I'll be on most of this evening from 1800 with my Titan 40/260. Haven't been bothered using hunter or warlock yet if anyone wants to do some runs or quests they need doing. I've still got a few quests to do too.

Get the boss's health down to a few mm on the bar (four sniper headshots or so) and then run up to him so you are standing next to him and shoot him with a rocket. You'll both die and you'll respawn at the door.

I tried to play this at work using remote play on the Vita.

Play through the Scourge of Winter story mission on Venus. Get to the end. Before you enter the boss chamber, use a Three of Coin. Just one will do. Go through door and initiate the fight. Whittle his health down just enough that you can finish him off with a rocket at close range. Make sure you die at the same time! With luck you will see an exotic engram drop. Respawn back outside the door then just repeat.
I like to clear the room of other Fallen before finishing him off as there can be quite a lot of banners and uncommon engrams to collected.
