MSI 290 one fan stuck

I noticed the idle temperatures of my MSI 290 were quite high at about 55C so I looked in and saw that one fan had stopped spinning as can be seen in the photo below. I'd always noticed that the fan seemed to wobble a bit more than the other when spinning but didn't really pay that much attention to it. After I gave it a little nudge though it started spinning again and seems to stay that way as long as the computer remains on, but as soon as I turn it off it gets stuck and won't spin automatically. I'd heard about this model leaking fan oil which I assume has happened to this one. Does anyone know of a good way to fix this without voiding the warranty or is it just a case of RMAing it?

Thought that was probably the case, annoying as I've had to RMA two MSI 280X's for artifacting in the past year so was hoping to avoid doing that again. :/

Yeah, I've a MSI 280x with that cooler, and it'll be my last. Will be going back to Sapphire.

The MSI Twin Frozr Cooler on the 290's was a IV, the newest is Twin Frozr V - pretty sure they improved it. So wouldn't let that old cooler put you off the newer model cards with the current version of their cooler.

They improved the heatsink on TF V as it is more than twice as thick in places than the one on the TF IV and that is probably the main reason why the MSI 290/290x Gaming got so hot. I never had an issue with leaking fans nor did I read about it with the TF IV so it seems to be a TF V issue.
I used to really like MSI and moved to MSI from Sapphire but after my TF IV 290x Gaming I won't be using MSI again for a while and it sounds like that's just as well. I'd be really peeved if I had this happen on a TF V after the problems I had with the TF IV. Luckily this is a simple issue to fix unlike using an unsuitable heatsink was so just RMA it and get a fixed one, From what I've read the cooler itself does a good job, Apparently.

Good move, Personally I think Sapphire are becoming AMD's equivalent to EVGA.

Actually today when I turned my pc on the fans started doing there usual rattle, then noticed that the fans should have been at 60% - 2200rpm - but where only going at 1300rpm... 50-55c at idle after it hit 99c in GW2 after about 2mins of being in game.... RMA'd it.
