Totally lost confidence with Honda and the Type R after 7 weeks of waiting for delivery and getting no answers or even a date from Honda UK. Sorry sir, we don't know how long the car is going to take to be inspected and we don't know how much longer than the 2 months you have already been waiting it will be. Well Honda, money back please and jog on.

So today I went out and signed on the dotted line for this little beauty :)

I fell in love with it instantly, I think it looks sexy as hell and love the overrun on the throttle lift with the top down :)

13,000miles and one owner, £26,000 showroom condition and I pick it up Friday

I am going to fit a JB4 http://www.burgertuning.com/jb4_pnp_BMW_performance_tuner.html, data cable and dual cones to it to take it over 400 BHP. for about £500 direct from the USA (Did similar to my older 335i a few years back)

I was a little dubious about it being a hairdresser car, but looking at it in the flesh and it bowled me over immediately.

More larger pictures inside the spoiler

That's a vastly better choice of car for someone who doesn't require space/doors.

Can't believe you'd even have looked at the civic if something like this was a consideration! I spent a bit of time with one of these in June, whilst they've grown a bit big for my liking it was a thoroughly good car

I had a 335i before my previous sensible Civic 1.6d. I was bored after 2 years being mr sensible in the civic and somehow the Type R appealed to the kid in me. I would have loved the Type R, but I hate it now after 8 weeks of agro and not even having it yet.

So yesterday I spoke to my best mate and he knocked some sense into me and told me to take matters into my own hands, tell Honda to jog on and that there were plenty of "nice" motors out there for 32k.

So yesterday, autotrader and looking for something fun, and this popped up at a cracking price from a Skoda dealer who had it part ex'd and wanted rid.

Monday will be fun when the CEO of Honda rings to try explain the appalling customer experience and an undetermined delay and I tell him, deal is off and I want my money back otherwise I will see him in court. (not signed any finance deal, just a deposit for pre-order)

I'm not familiar with exhausts for these cars but the Milltek looks pretty decent and sounds good judging by videos I've seen.

Are you a hairdresser?

At first I didn't like the new shape but I've been swayed as your pictures really do it justice! I bet even better in the flesh ;)

LOL :D I wasn't sure until I saw it and saw it had changed a hard top convertible.

I must give credit for the pictures to my mate that does the dealership photos for a living. Just so happened it was one of his dealerships that I found the car at :)

Thanks all,

In a way Honda did me a favour on their **** up on the Type R and I can burn my baseball cap :) (sorry Type R owners :)) Common sense rules :)

As you do, I have been looking on autotrader and the closest example in year and spec I can find (with more mileage) is £31k Looks like I got a bargain :) It was a click and I want type of buy with no real research :p

Email sent to CEO and others at Honda telling them I want my money back + costs otherwise I will see them in court.

Shopping list now includes, JB4 Harness, Stainless tail pipe covers, detailing amd a scarf with coat hanger inside it :)

Not sure about the red trim running along the centre as it's not leather is it, just the matte dash trim. Otherwise it looks ace

Don't change the entire exhaust, all you need are exhaust tips. A dealer will sell the tips, they won't be cheap, or you could buy a pair from an owners club member who may have machined them for sale like they have done on other BMW owners clubs.
