My new ride : BMW Z4 35i

Might have just used a lower quality leather for the dash and console coverings, and a high quality leather for the seats? Hence why it looks different. But it does look like it is matte (possibly soft touch) plastic. Unsure...

Either way I still think it looks fab! :D

Meanwhile, Toyota decided to use about 6 different types of plastic, of varying qualities in my car. Its ridiculous and hideous! :p

The leather is usually treated differently and higher quality for better weathering with BMW convertibles, even if it's Dacota.

Such a nice looking car with the roof on! No, not saying its ugly with it off, just that I love the looks roof on. ;)

I agree, just looked back at the pictures, love it.

Noticed it is the 306 BHP S Drive 35i and not the 330 BHP 35is but the JB4 will fix that issue :)

Is that even true? I can't imagine it is.

It's what the guys at Furniture Clinic said when I enquired about the bolster recolouring. They said their finishing layer is harder wearing than BMW's finisher used on convertible models, which in itself is harder wearing than the non convertibles. BMW dealers had no clue (as you'd expect) when quizzed.

100HP remap seems... a bit hardcore? Will the clutch last?

As long as you don't go too mad with the mappings. Stick to Map 3 or 4 out of 5 and should be fine. Was ok with the 335i I did it to.

Not 100% sure if this has the N54 engine now. Waiting for the VIN number from the dealer to pass onto Burgertuning. Might not be possible.

According to Wiki the 35i does have the N54 engine.

Lovely car btw, looking to get one of these soon as well. That's my fav colour combo as well :).
