Hatchback 10k budget

Seem to be getting torn between something that's reliable, efficient and got a fair bit of kit or something a little older with a bigger engine and better looking.

Mazda3 2.2d 185.

just got a 2011 plate (3.9 years old) for £8300 with 32k miles on the clock.

You can get a decent 2012 plate one for 10k, good speakers, nav and Bluetooth, good on fuel and goes like a fast thing when you want too.

There are loads of 13 plate Civics that don't suck for under 10K

You need to go way back if you want one of the good Civics though (pre 2006). Especially the type-r. The newer ones are heavy and don't handle nearly as good.

Liking these, only issue so far is I can't find any at all close to me.

mazdas are really good value for money so are recent hyundai/kias. whatever you do buy diesel. better resale values when the time comes to sell.

Got my eyes on a white 10 plate Guilietta with 21k miles on it. 1.4 Turbo, not as efficient as a diesel but good enough. Going to have a look at it on the weekend.
