I'm Looking at going to New York in March next year is this a good or bad time of year to go as I've always gone later in the year (may, sept & oct)

looking to fly out on the 16th for 6 nights - I've already priced up the flights and hotel and it's coming in around £1300 ( Flights with BA and stopping at citizen M hotel)

Let me have your thoughts whether they be good, bad or the damn right ugly.

If it snows I can always throw snowballs at the people in the st Patrick's parade and keep warm through drinking copious amounts of Irish whiskey

We went mid Feb and it was fine, cold but a dry cold and it actually came out hot and sunny one day. That was 2009 so it'll be 7 years warmer by time you go.

After just been in August, and it costing more than I want to think it's still worth it! I would rather it be cooler. Had so much ball sweat.

Went in feb this year and was the coldest on record! Lovely and snowy and because it was so cold not many tourists! which is always good.

We are planning our next trip but will go in a warmer month!

If it does snow for you it looks stunning.

Been in February during a heavy snow storm, it was well over a foot deep in central park in places

It was great but the novelty wears off when you start feeling the chill and the streets are full of slush

We did April this year and it was lovely. It was a bit chilly but not overly cold, and we didn't have to deal with much rain. It's one of our favourite times of the year to go.

We went last Feb and it was -8 every day with a wind chill of nearly -20. It looked pretty but ruined a lot of the experience for us as it made it so uncomfortable to walk around. This was the worst weather they'd had for decades though.

At some point in the future we'll go back but it'll be later in the year to ensure a comfortable temperature.

i went back in march 2003. it changed from being cold on arrival to freezing the next day, then t-shirt weather the day after followed by epic snow for the next couple of days.

I went in December 2013 and didn't get any snow :(.

I've been in the Summer and think i prefer the warmer months. December was just a bit too cold, and wayyy too many people about.
