i used to really like moyles and detest grimshaw after being forced to listen to him though, i do find myself laughing at some of the stuff he says etc... still not a great fan and dislike the music so its not something i listen to when i dont have to.

my problem is that i cant seem to find a radio station i do like, so i tend to have either R1 on or the local stations, which are pretty much the same, but even more crap because they have adverts.

havent listened to radio1 in the morning since grimshaw came in.

on the occasions radio 1 is on when i get in the car of a morning he normally lasts until he mentions one direction or harry styles.. which tends to be about 5-10 mins.

They guy is a massive bell end. he was a bell end on C4 TV and didn't last there either, and not because of his fame.

I would honestly prefer Scott Mills to Grimmy (or even Greg James).

This morning there was a massive air of "oh &$£" with some of the comments. He even made a freudian slip about losing listeners (he meant to say viewers)......hashtag awkward turtle....

Considering he made a joke about comparing his show to El Dorado (the short-lived BBC soap, not the lost city) I'd say it wasn't a Freudian slip but just a self-deprecating joke. He is very open about losing listeners and upsetting the Moyles audience so no point pretending he glosses over it.

I don't know why everyone has such a problem with him, yes, his voice is a bit grating but he's nowhere near as abrasive and up his own backside as Moyles. I also like that he has brought some of the Radio 1 late night playlist into the morning alongside the poppier stuff that he is obviously obliged to play.

Listeners can have the best of both now that Moyles is back hosting breakfast on Radio X. Vernon Kay and Ricky Wilson form a line up with some other usual ex Radio 1 types.

I fully suspect Grimmy's listening figures this morning took a massive slump. I laughed harder in the first 10 minutes of Moyle's show this morning than in the last 3 years of Grimmy.

Didn't realise anyone still listened to R1 on a morning, nor that the useless Moyles 'replacement' was still on the air; I suppose the latter is the bigger surprise.

Managed to listen to the first 45 minutes or so this morning, was just like having the old Radio 1 days back.

Moyles is an insufferable tit, with an ego the size of a small country. Why people would voluntarily subject themselves to this kind of utter garbage is anyone's guess.

So, this morning our resident chris moyles fanboi decided that it was time to retune the office radio to Radio X... 'cause he's just so brilliant and entertaining' huh if you've the brain of a sparrow maybe.

In one hour there were less than 15 minutes of music. The rest was filled with his inane prattling self-indulgence. Oh, and one of the gallagher brothers.

Really, what a load of old ****.

I'll be tuning into Radio X tomorrow morning, Grimshaw is annoying, his features are rubbish and his interviews are cringe worthy.

I miss Moyles, I don't understand the hate.

Might give his new show a listen. Didn't know about it to catch todays.

Got a feeling it wont be anywhere as good without Comedy Dave or Aled.

It was really good to have him back on the radio this morning, I switched from R1 to TalkSport when Moyles left and may have to switch to XFM now!

Always found Moyles to come across as a bit of an arrogant twit, so was annoyed that he is moving onto my favorite radio station and replacing John Holmes on Breakfast. Listened this morning and wasn't that impressed. Much preferred the original breakfast lineup, but as XFM has the best music I'll probably stick with it.

Hope they don't get rid of Ellis James and Jon Robins on Saturday morning though...cracking show :)

I only ever tend to listen to the radio when I'm driving (which is rare) but it's a shame to hear Moyles is back on the radio. I don't think I could pick who I like least out of Moyles and Grimshaw though, they're both annoying to listen to in their own way.
