What screen cleaner do you guys use and any links would be welcome? need to get something to keep my monitors looking nice and tidy! :)

I've never found a good one that doesn't smear or leave marks. I just go with a lint free cloth (Windex do a good one, the green one for about £2 in Tesco) and water.

I bought a bottle of antec x3 spray on ocuk. Used it on monitors, tv screens and other peripherals. Works well without smearing. Use it along with a micro fibre cloth.

Brand of microfibre doesn't matter too much, as long as it's fairly dense and has both polyester and polyamide and is actually a microfibre cloth (not a glasses cloth).

I use the pack of five green and blue ones from Tesco. To clean, all you need is to dampen (not soak) the cloth and give it a good wipe.

Thoroughly rinse your microfibres a couple of times before usage otherwise you'll end up with fibres all over your monitor.

Klear Screen is by far and away the best screen cleaner I've ever used. Get the big bottle with the cleaning cloths. Makes the monitor screen look like new.

For the first time cleaning it you may need to clean 2 or 3 times. But after that, a single clean does the job.

2 microfiber cloths

wet one with the hottest water your hands can take and wring it out as much as u can

clean screen and then buff off with the dry one

worked for years on my panasonic plasma and not a mark insight

i got a kit from clas olhson - you get the liquid, a lint free sponge and a cloth - it works really well and only cost a fiver.

I just use some cheap rubbish from Asda with 2 microfiber cloths, I spray a little on one cloth give the monitor a good wipe, Let it dry then use another cloth which is dry to take the smudges out, Sparkling.

I just use a slightly damp soft cloth and give it a quick wipe to remove all the tomato ketchup, jam coffee etc...then use a dry lint free cloth, and it removes all the smears. Never had to use any chemicals.

Been using lens cleaner and tesco microfibers. I didn't know you had to wash them first, I thought the point of microfibers was they didn't molt/leave behind fibers?

Will have to try that and the Antec fluid also.

No, the point of microfibres is to pick up as much as possible from the surface on which they are used, without dragging these substances and damaging the surface. There will be loads of loose fibres that will need to be washed off (not a big deal but it looks horrible).
