The EU Migrant Crisis

No immigrant news tonight on ITV cool the crisis must be over :D

Quite refreshing when the BBC had a few stories before we got the same old look I'm here in the queue with them reports. I'm surprised that some of the film crews haven't applied for asylum themselves. At least now they appear to be using migrant and refugee in the same breath.

Yet it still contains the right-wing myth that "refugees must claim asylum in the first 'safe' country they enter".

Now it looks like the bombs are going to start going off over here, I'm off to claim asylum in LA, always fancied it there. Might head to Vegas if if it's not what I imagined. There's always Fiji as a last resort.

I can't stand the Yanks, they disgust me and I'll be sure to tell em that at every opportunity. They better let me do whatever I want or I'll be proper offended.

I'll be sure to keep everyone posted on Facebook.

however if an asylum seeker travels illegally from one safe country to another safe country they can be treated differently because of this.

A known terrorist gets a job and a house in a swanky part of Spain because shouty bleeding heart liberals can't see the wood for the trees.

You couldn't make this up. ISIS master plan is following successful scenario A it appears.

You know ISIS and the group he has been accused of being a part of are nothing to do with each other right?

Oh he's a good terrorist? That's ok then.

Where was he accused of being a "terrorist". He's been accused of fighting for a militant group against Kurds and the people accusing him are, surprise surprise, Kurdish.

I'm not defending the guy, or saying he didn't ever fight for al-Nusra, but this tornado of misinformation which allows words like 'ISIS' and 'terrorist' to be banded about completely inaccurately annoys the hell out of me.

I don't care what side of the argument you're own so long as you use facts, logic and fair judgement. What I'm seeing is people jumping onto anything mildly anti-refugee, amplifying the facts of the story and not caring if what they are sharing is true or not.

Personally I would describe the situation as virtually akin to an invasion, and it needs the firmest handling, probably with the assistance of the military in some regions. No time nor place for bleeding hearts, the situation is volatile and rapidly worsening. So far only the Hungarian PM seems to be at all statesmanlike. The UN are at their usual inept best, and can never be relied upon to do anything positive.

I think the point being made we have no idea who the **** these thousands of people are.

Do we know who the 32 million people who visit the UK every year are? Last time I checked there was no extensive background check for tourists.

So by your logic we should close our borders immediately to all tourism. I mean they say they coming to see Buckingham Palace, but are they, ARE THEY?
