US: Blindspot - May contain spoilers

Think there is already a thread for this one. I watched the pilot few weeks ago. It is interesting enough and watchable.

The main lead actor is a bit rubbish though imo. The lead actress i don't mind though.

The chief of police is also a rubbish actor imo. Just not believable in that role.

I like the story though and the production is high enough. Will watch it.

As well as being extended to 23 episodes, it's already been given a second season too... also seems to be the ratings topper so far this season.

I watched the first episode and thought the premise was rubbish. I presume it gets better if the IMDB is 8.0 - worth a second look?

not really. i personally found the premise more interesting but as is usual with american shows this is basically just a carrier to do a classic weekly case based thing which idiots lap up. I happily watch crap like this but i know its crap. any way. its reasonably interesting but if you didn't like the first episode then you definitely won't like the latest ones

Nothing to cerebral but enjoyable enough. Not sure about 23 episodes a series

Audrey Esparza is the star of the show for me :)

Watched the first episode/pilot and it was pretty poor.

Expecting us to believe this stick thin waif of a women is some kind of special forces.
Main guy has the personality of a brick.
Supporting cast were dire.
Felt a bit like a poor mans 24 with them running around.

I watch it but don't find it particularly great. Very popular in the states though. I do wonder what will happen when they run out of tattoos though! Renewed for a second season as already.

Strange that was going to say it feels like a NCIS episode ie the one you have seen 50 million times already, but the poor man's 24 hits the mark better.

They are just linking what's occurring in the episode with perhaps something suggested on the tatoo's, actually does she need tatoo's any more at this point ? Its just become a regular cop job US show like the rest.

Hopefully it improves or finds its original roots like it did early on, 23 episodes however tells me it wants to be another 24 or NCIS type show which frankly says gap filler around here.

It has all of the characteristics of Prison Break flight of icarus path - high on mystery and secrecy start, short bursts of conspiratorial arc and then, as the season order is extended it immediately melts down to per-episode-short-arc season survival filler, but this time it's the dreaded round the mill procedural+magical sidekick we are all so sick of.

Once you start yawning at the long chain of filler episodes you realise it is nothing more than tv show by numbers - the "what am I doing here" centrepiece, the detective, the boss/director, the helping detective to run all the mundane errands in the background, the high tech "enhance" geek/engineer (now almost always a chick), the scientist/doctor/psychologist to explain things to slow viewer, the external contractor/taskforce agent/temporary assignment/out of the box person. It's essentially the standard CSI/NCIS crew plus magical sidekick. The only difference to Bones, Blacklist or endless list of the shows using this setup is the girl with the dragon tattoo.

And as the entire series is hanging on a single "fit chick" doing the same one trick pony teary eye misery-written-all-over-her-face high strung performance every week the sad truth is, as the previous poster said, the entire supporting cast is just dire, hard to watch and you kind of want them dead.

basically what v0n said. as with a lot of shows. the opening episode has an interesting premise then it just becomes the usual cop show/gets lazy. at least something like castle takes the **** out of its self.
