The lobster gloves are pretty good at keeping your hands warm on a cold dry day. They are not great at keeping out the water though.
It's a strange feeling having 2 fingers stuck together. I usually brake with 2 fingers anyway but the lobster gloves made me realise that i move them around independently.

my lobster gloves are waterproof :)

That always felt a bit iffy to me. I'd be much more likely to buy stuff from ali or wherever if they were original designs or even just plain colours, rather than 99% of it being knock offs. Wearing team kit is questionable enough, never mind if you're not actually supporting the team when you buy it :p

I only bought it because my bike is a giant. I'd imagine it's more noticeable in trafic too than plain clothing,as a driver, i always notice cyclists in teams kits on the road, moreso because they look interesting.

You need a jersey like the one roady was wearing in his sportive photos. When he's not wearing it, he flies it from the top of a hill to warn of Viking invasions.

Just been to Aldi on the off chance they had a garmin. What a silly thought! They sold out as soon as they opened yesterday, still, had a quick look at the other gear. Never bought anything though.

Think I'd rather get the garmin 810 anyway.

I don't think they had that many. A mate of mine waited for them to open yesterday, but they only had Garmin 200s. He was hoping for a Garmin 500.

In other news, I've managed to get hold of the guy that did my bike fitting. His shop closed down, otherwise I would have bought the new bike from him. Fortunately, he's willing to help me out with the new bike. So will ask him to pop along when the modifications are complete.

Weather looks good for the weekend :) Hoping to get out on the CX, but it needs some work carried out first. New cassette, hanger, rear mech, chain etc. Should be fun :)

The Aldi leg warmers look decent quality, picked up a pair for £7.99. It's amazing how few leg warmers even from the premium bands have wide grippers to a) stay up and b) not create pressure points. The Aldi ones look better in that regard.

Also picked up a set of spare lights for my bag in case my Cree ever runs out of juice and a couple of the little helmet lights.

Grabbed some GT85 - £2 for a 400ml isn't bad!

Yup great price, I'd have picked some up if I hadn't got 3 cans already (I can't resist a bargain...)

I'm with wez on this - I wear my giant-shimano team jersey because I like the design and ride a Giant rather than actually follow the team... Although when they rode as G-S I didn't follow a particular team, now they're Giant-Alpecin I don't. More of a Sky/Lotto/Saxo fan. Sue me, I like to look cool! :p

Jealous Pete? ;)

For anyone missing out :p

Sounds like he should be fitting/working at the shop who messed you around!

Stock alert popped up on the £72 Kinetic KK InRide on CRC. 5 now in stock but I'm really not sure about ordering one (blew £380 yesterday on a refirb laptop which will run Zwift...)

You would have brought a bike from him?

*pedantry mode activated* :p

Petty! Let him off, he's had a stressful week and it's friday! ;)

Shop ride for the morning, weather is forecast clear so I've got a pass from the other half. I'm fully intending on riding these social rides through the winter to at least have some outside rides other than commuting (last year it was commuting & turbo only!). Totally weather dependent of course! ;)

Few headset creaks on this mornings commute and I need to change gear cables/outers later too. Rapidly running out of daylight in the evenings which is a pain - as I've got quite used to my 'weekly clean' being on a thursday/friday night before the weekends rides. My bar tape needs redoing too, but I'll probably leave that until another weekend and get some new tape... I quite fancy some fi'zi k tape and a saddle to match (eventually)...

Any quick tips/tricks on keeping a headset as tight as possible when tightening stem bolts? I normally sit on my top tube but I've noticed it's getting looser quicker so I've started overtightening it slightly which has started to damage to head of my stem bolt... :(

New sd card hasn't arrived yet but I factory-reset my Virb and erased the current sd. Now the Virb turns itself off after about 15 seconds. Progress! Or the other thing...
