All,

Built my new loop - and the ran a leak test for a few days - no issues untill day 3

After the 3rd day i thought i had lost fluid, looking at the res it looked half full. in reality my new Mayhems pastel coolant seems to have seperated, and got worse throughout the day. there was no coolant loss, though the the sediment had dropped and the more water was shown at the top of the res.

Now, with the unit off, my pipes look like this, when turning on, the issue appears to go away, but not fully - i can still see sediment flowing around.

anyone have any ideas? is this normal?

Did you flush all of the components before putting the loop together?

I can't see very clearly in the video, but it looks like huge air bubbles? The small particles in the bottom picture don't look good though.

no - its not bubbles, thats actually the sediment from the coolant :( the clearer bits more like water.

I cleaned the used parts out (rad with boiling hot water) the rest is new, and then ran the system prior for 2 days with RO Water (draining twice)

That is odd my pastel orange was ran for nearly 2 years without anything like that happening.

Where abouts in bournemouth are you?

Def not normal, I've had 0 issues with the pastel white.

Did you buy the premix or used DI with the concentrate?

This is far from normal. I'm sure EK luc will be here shortly.

It could be your tubing reacting badly. What stuff are you using?

When it was in the bottle I assume it was mixed together?

That's definitely not right I've used maYhem pastel for years now never had a single issue looks like it's reacted with something post in mayhem thread

Tubing is XSPC ordered here from from overclockers. the only hose im not sure of is the hose linking the res to the pump inside the all in one koolance unit.

not checked the bottle of fluid 2bh, was too excited to get it in... ill poor some out into a sealed clear container and see what happens.

I noticed some of the pastel stick to the hose straight away (but not much) tap the hose and it went away.....

I had the pastel white coolant in xspc tube running for 2 years. I never saw it split in the way that looks... and I did not change the coolant for the 2 years. perhaps contact Mayhems?

Its always normal for coolant levels to drop on a new system as the loop takes time to fill all the little spaces.

Mono - i thought the level had dropped, turns out, it hadnt. the white sludge was at the bottom, and the top 50 of the res was like water. almost like it congealed or something.

Its your PH. This happens when your PH is off the chart to say the least. You need to clean your system with the blitz pro cleaning kit and as for the coolants ill replace them free of charge if you clean your system correctly as advised. Email me direct at [email protected] (please inc receipt for the products and full name, address, telephone number) and ill get them in the post to you Monday.

Mayhems Pastel is a PH balanced product and needs rads cleaning properly. Many companies out there use more than 1 rad maker to make there rads and some times this happens. The best fix is a real deep clean and proper flush with a PH balanced product such as Mayhems Blitz Pro kit.

You cant say fairer than that. Thank you! What should the ph of the coolant be? Being a marine fishy buff I always have ph probes about....

Fire me that email ill send you the blitz kit for free, it inc's the PH meter, Best PH for liquid cooling is 7.2 how ever any thing between 6.8 to 7.8 should be oky too, how ever if you have flux in your system this can be a massive problem as well but again the blitz kit will sort that.
