Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

I can beat all of those with a picture of a cute dog in a car that has a plate worth considerably more than the car.

"8 SPEED" badge, what's up with that?

It's not even straight![/QUOTE]

Oh wow. That's like the old Mercs with the "Automatic" badge, except it's not old. Where would you even buy a badge that says "8 SPEED"?!?!

I like his bumper protector and mudflaps. Probably eleventy years old.
Looks like his mirror has been bent backwards as well..

Someone came in to buy a trailer for their track car although it wasn't the usual McLaren or Porsche this time. :)

He's going to be swapping this out for a 2 litre turbo apparently.

Hillman Imp (or one of its badge-engineered derivatives) I'd imagine with the engine in the back - developed from the Coventry Climax.

You're right, although as you say it was a derivative, the name of which I can't quite remember however I do remember it has a 1.6 MR2 engine in at the moment. The back end has been re-worked by the owner in that he has taken the back seats out and installed a firewall of sorts and all the necessary bracketry to install a rear mounted engine.

Quite impressive - the Imp was rear engined, but he's got that ridiculously far forward. Does he race it or is it a track day tool? Be very quick and fun either way I bet.

Will post more tomorrow, but GF planned a surprise trip to the "Bond in Motion" exhibition in London where they have a large selection of the Bond cars used over the years, along with some props and a bit of behind the scenes info. Excuse the potato pictures, low lighting + phone = not good.

Quite possibly my favorite bond car:

Not sure why the plate was different on the DB5, it should be BMT 216A...

And the lovely Z8.

Well worth a trip for anyone local who fancies a bit of nostalgia, it's not a huge exhibit but spend a good 2 hours in there.
