BBC back to normal, they just interviewed a refugee from Iran who said if he had known it would be this hard and cold he would have stayed in Iran, or at least brought some warmer clothes with him because its cold!

You would think he would have some brains, being a chemical engineer according to the BBC.

This is why I hope we have the coldest winter since 1962 - it will sort men from the boy's

Wikipedia: "A refugee, in contrast to a migrant, is according to the Geneva Convention on Refugees[1][2] applied to a person who is outside their home country of citizenship because they have well-founded grounds for fear of persecution because of their race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, and is unable to obtain sanctuary from their home country or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail themselves of the protection of that country;"

BBC: A refugee is someone who is 50/50 about going home due to temperature.

I forgot to add, his main destination is the UK.

Again no respect for other countries burial grounds, not sure if this is the same bunch in a grave yard that was mentioned earlier in this thread.

I am astounded that the BBC broadcast this without any criticism at all, the usual sob story reporting.

Seriously, they think Croatia in September is cold. Their going to get the shock of their lives when they hit Germany and Sweden in winter!

To be fair if you aren't used to being in the open (let alone more Northern climates) - it doesn't take much below 10C at night roughing it in the open for the effects of exposure to start kicking in.

You know i think i need a LONG holiday from this debate i actually felt unwell today reading the papers about Germany and 1/3 of them not even Syrian but now without papers. Yea so the Germans are already seeing migrants raping native women.

Top of Google today for Germany is Daily Mail about the rapes. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-German-women-told-cover-mood-s-changing.html

Think some North African raped a 7 year old too, Dragged her into the bushes while her mother was busy then ran off. :(

The thing is though what is going to happen to all the people who have no documents\I.D\Passports etc, a lot of them would have got rid of any evidence of which country they are from so they cannot be easily sent back to that country, then what happens?

We cant just take them on a boat and dump them at the nearest middle eastern country we like, and they all know this.

Bottom line is, there is no other option, someone is going to have to take them, and they know it!

Europe is screwed regardless.

It's OK Amigafan, lafemmefatale and the other one will be along in a minute to say.....

I'm so glad that our quota will be genuine refugees and not a bunch of freeloaders.

I can see more and more pressure put on us though to take more from Europe. I just hope Cameron stays firm to his 20,000 by 2020 plan.

The way it's going in Germany, we'll end up with Germans claiming asylum here by then to escape religious persecution :p

"More than 4,305 claims covering main applicants and any dependants were lodged in the UK in July."

20,000 over 5 years my arse. You just got nearly 25% in July alone.
Its big fat numbers just as I predicted.

It screams total madness to me, the feeling of impending doom inside me is crazy. :(

I hope to **** am wrong.

Hopefully am just a paranoid xenophobe. :D

He is a very good speaker and I have to say, what he's saying is pretty much bang on the money for me.

Trouble is though UKIP is a one man, one trick pony. Basically the The Nigel Farage party. And he won't let you forget it.

Ironically enough it was the european winter that kept them out of europe in the first place

"Merkel was cheered when she opened the floodgates to migrants. Now, with gangs of men roaming the streets and young German women being told to cover up, the mood's changing."

Blackhawk Down starting on Film 4 if anyone wants an insight into the attitude of the gimme-grants from east Africa.

BBC at it again. Video of a cute little girl with sore legs from walking.

She wouldn't have had those sore legs if they had done it properly and gone to the refugee camps.

Some of you make me laugh. What do you want the news to show? If watching BBC news winds you up so much that you have to run to the internet to complain about it then you really need to find a way to channel that energy in a more constructive way.
