138mph in a Mitsubishi Fuso truck.......really?

This quote made me laugh "We are urging drivers to think about other vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists – to think ‘outside of their box’ when they are driving." Lots of cyclists and pedestrians on the motorway. I've no problem with people being done in a 30 as that's 30 due to people being around but I feel the motorway limit should be higher, wasn't there talks of upping it to 80?

Ach, not going to lie and say I haven't done the occasional silly speed blast - all in the knowledge that it really is best to keep a good loolook out and don't be doing it for too . Get yourself caught at 100mph+ and there's only one person to blame.

You say that as though someone speeding like that on the motorway wouldn't ever speed anywhere else.

Besides, the second one in the list was on the east lancs, which is not a motorway.

Can the fuso even hit those speeds?!

A guy I went to uni with got a ticket for doing 78 in his tractor which physically couldn't go above about 30. Still had to argue it in court like...

Possibly if you threw it off a very large cliff! I reckon approximately it's TV to be around 220mph - so it clearly was on it's way off a cliff! :D

The bikes were all on the same day and same road so probably together and clocked at the same time. No way a Fuso would do 138mph though. :D

I don't even know why they would print something as patently absurd as that.

It would only serve to prove that there was something wrong with the camera and lead to all other offences prosecuted on or around that date to be brought into question.

According to wiki most of them are hard limited to 65mph... there is a massive variation of them though and some have some pretty beefy engines and/or engines more commonly found in "performance" vehicles (probably geared differently or whatever in a truck though) but the only videos I could see of unlimited ones topped out about 80mph flat out unloaded.

There's no need to look to google ;) it's physically impossible for it to of happened.

The owner of the Yeti is crazy, he couldn't find a cheap TT-RS engine so bought a TT-RS from an Audi dealer and drove it straight to the garage for the engine transplant to the Yeti.

I have seen it on track a couple of times and it is very fast strangely it seems to handle better than TT-RSs and RS3s with what is fairly standard suspension mods.
