Hey everyone.
I decided that I would post my project on the forum just because I figured it was time for me to give back a little. My primary reason for this PC is game development with a secondary use for gaming and web design.

My last build was in an antec 900 with a custom loop (my first watercooled rig). I learned a few lessons from it which should help me here a little

The Parts I have ordered are

1x EK Water Blocks EK-FC Titan X - Acetal+Nickel
1x EK Water Blocks EK-FC Titan X Backplate - Black
6x XSPC G1/4" 90 Rotary Fitting (Black Chrome)
1x XSPC Photon 270 Res
1x Nvidia 980Ti (ref board)
3x Mayhems Aurora 2 Red 1ltr
4x XSPC G1/4" 45 Rotary Fitting (Black Chrome)
7x XSPC G1/4" to 7/16" ID, 5/8" OD Compression Fitting (Black Chrome)
3x XSPC 7/16" ID [16/11mm] High Flex Hose - Clear [1m Length]
2x XSPC G1/4" Plug (Black Chrome)
1x Phanteks Enthoo Primo (Green / Black)
1x Intel i7-5820K 3.30GHz (Haswell-E) Socket LGA2011-V3 CPU
1x MSI X99A SLI Plus Intel X99 (Socket 2011) DDR4 ATX Motherboard
1x Kingston Predator 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 PC4-21300C13 2666MHz Quad Kit
1x Microlab SOLO8C 120W RMS - TOSLIINK - Stereo Speakers.
1x EVGA SuperNova G2 750W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply
1x Coolgate CG280 280mm Radiator - Black
2x Phanteks PH-F140XP PWM 140mm Fan - Black / White
1x Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g)

I will be using some of the previous parts from my older computer.
These include

7x XSPC G1/4" to 7/16" ID, 5/8" OD Compression Fitting (Black Chrome)
1x XSPC Pump/Res Combo (Mounted in Bay)
1x XSPC rad (380 I think) - Will confirm
1x Dvd Combo
1x XSPC Raystorm CPU Block

And then I have now ordered more stuff after I decided to put a quick drain port on.

1x Koolance QD3 Male Quick Disconnect No-Spill Coupling, Panel Female Threaded G 1/4 BSPP Black
1x Koolance QD3 Female Quick Disconnect No-Spill Coupling, Male Threaded G 1/4 BSPP - Black
2x Bitspower Multi Adapter IG 1/4 Inch - Carbon Black
1x XSPC G1/4" T Fitting (Black Chrome)

These are my revised plans for flow and cooling.

Some of the parts have been delivered already but I am still waiting for many of the WC parts so I will update this post with images and the such once I have some info to share.

So I have some of the parts now so getting an idea of the space in this case... its nice!
I have dumped in most of the components now but still waiting for compression fittings.

When I had mine I had a 480mm in the top with a dual bay res + dvd drive. Would advise the same as it's wasted space otherwise especially if your running 4 fans at the top.

Apart from that loop and layout looks good.

I know, the only reason I am using a smaller one up the top is because it was spare from the last loop. I put in in the top of the case and you are right, it is just wasted space that would be a crime not to fill! :)

I am going to carry on building with the current parts but think I will swap this out before 'going live' with the build.

What rad did you use up top?

id suggest going other way with flow from pump res to bottom rad makes bleeding air out of system easier also id use a 60 mm rad up top as youve got the space maybe a ek xe 480

I have a two rad system but mine is like this so the its cooled after cpu then before enter gpu again.

res-pump-cpu-rad-gpu-rad-res

I did this thinking to not have the warmed water going direct from cpu into gpu, I wanted to cool again before it reached gpu, but like all things once you reach equilibrium does it really matter, probably very little.

Look forward to seeing your build, I do like the Primo ;)

So I changed my flow plan for the reversed direction and also decided to add a coolant drainage port too (parts also ordered now)

Got my photon 270 res today and just tried to size it up in the case.
First impression is that it feels very well made. The glass does give it the premium feel!

It looks like it will be a tight fit if mounted to the right of the GFX card (where I initially wanted it). I should be able to mount it there but not so sure I will be able to get a tube behind it to the right once mounted (heading up to the bay pump).

Also an important thing to note is the screw holes in the photon 270 do not align with the provided holes in the bracket. This means I will have to rip the plate out and drill some holes if I want to keep it there.

Alternatively, I can remove the rear exhaust fan and mount it there... I figured it would be best to avoid this if possible.

You'll have to drill it to mount, I ran one of those and it fitted on the bar however it was very snug to the end of the gfx cards fag paper between them distance.

Would you say there is space to run a tube up behind the res on the right once mounted? or will it look bad?

So, after months of waiting....my loop is finished. OCUK was out of stock for XSPC joints which took them 3 months to restock and actually send me. Got to say, this was the poorest service I have had ever in the many years of ordering from them. Hate aside.... I have slapped it all in and have powered up the beast :) yaaay

I did in fact have to drill new holes for the photon to be mounted and I just used bolts to the back to keep on tight. I also chopped a small square out the black plastic cover to fit the GPU. Still waiting for some finishing touches (red raystorm light and maybe a white led tube for the top).

Pics attached just to show the semi complete build

idle is around 21C and under load Rainbow 6 around 32C

Noticed the GFX card dipping due to weight but not sure how to raise that at this point.

Looks good man. I have the same case. The green doesn't look as good on photos but looks good in real life.
