Am I ok to remove the cooler on my MSI 980Tis to replace thermo paste?

It would mean breaking the warranty seal on the screw.

I'm sure I have heard that this is ok, but just wanted to check.

Others have said yes, your best bet is to email MSI directly so that you have it in writing from them for future reference

Just emailed MSI, they say its ok as long as I put the original cooler on for return.

MSI are good with this as are EVGA, Some companies however would void the warranty

get yourself a g10 and h55 or equivalent for christmas. Best thing for any gpu

G10 works very well with the Twin Frozr design.

Just done both of them, dropped around 2-4 degrees c, that's with IC Diamond
