I was round at my friends house and my car was parked up on the road with a bunch of cars but mine was at the front. Parked totally fine and the road is wide enough to have 2 cars coming each opposite way.

It was dark and obviously someone can't drive but the frustrating thing is they drove off and I have no indication of who did it. there are no cameras about and no point contacting the police because they would not be able to do anything.
So went to the bodyshop and it needs new wing and wing mirror and bumper has slight damange too and going to cost £500 to fix money that I did not want to spend its a 2014 focus and got it from new last year so annoyed
I am not bothering to go through my insurance due to high excess and my no claims are not protected (something that I did not know)

Anyway heres the pics

Annoying but i bet most of that will just polish out, these things always look worse at the time.

I didnt think it actually looked deformed, scuffing like that usually looks 100* better after a cleanup and some paint coloured t-cut :)

People just have no respect for other people's property.

Really boils my ****. If people were more honest and accepted when they made a mistake and dealt with it the world would be a better place.

You just cannot own anything nice now without some ignorant entitled scum in their own world not giving two hoots about anyone or anything else.

Had this happen to me a few years ago, didn't cost as much to repair but still ****** me off. What annoys me more is you know it's the type of scum who would scream the house down if the same thing happened to them and probably turn violent. They just want the world to revolve around them.

Quoted for truth. It's absolutely infuriating and saddening.

Had the same thing happen to me a few years ago, cost me over £1k to fix as the damage was more severe than yours. There was no way they couldn't have realised they'd done it either.

This is assuming the guy even knows he did it.

True. Tahts exactly why my old boss put motoway crash barriers round his parking spot at work so people couldnt open car doors onto his car and why he always parked across two parking spaces in public car parks (he got several fines per year for that)

If you caused that sort of damage, you will know about it! No excuses, its just typical scum who drive off to avoid any responsibility.

Ouch, that does look a mess. I guess @ £500 it could be worse but it's ridiculous to be going through it in the first place.
