What if your hand is your girlfriend ?
I'm amazed you can't see why some people might choose differently to you
I think age is an important consideration, ignoring the fact that it's your girlfriend, it will still be someone ~30 years younger than your mother. That's someone with ~30 years more life to live, around half of which they will probably still be in their prime.
Would the people who choose their mother also keep the same decision if it was a choice of her and a young child unrelated to you, someone whos life has yet to begin?
Erm, yes. It's my mother? I don't care if the girlfriend / child lives for a hundred years or twenty minutes, they do not rank even close in the importance stakes to my mother.
I guess more people than I thought don't value their mothers much!
Depends if we are on about the next 5 minutes or the next 50 years? I'm thinking realistically and the ability to make the human species survive.
