I've had it since release, it's been wonderful (aside from the cap whine). But, I'm having an issue, I've had it since day one. It just crashes out of games every now and then. I could go all week without an issue, but get 3 crashes in one evening. The other night, I got a VERY nasty graphical artifact in a game (think it was GTA), came out and the artifact was still present on my screen. It was a memory artifact for sure. Tearing textures, glitching textures etc.

No crash, just the screen wide artifact.

I rebooted, and it was fine again.

I've been putting these issues down to drivers as it's still fairly new. Is this the case? Or have I likely got a borked card?

A teeny tiny overclock. Nothing insane.

Think it might be worth trying without?

What's the Asic?
Forget my reply in the other thread, didn't know you had artefacts and crashes.
Yes, of course you should try without any overclock (both memory and core) and see what happens.
Some cards can't get past 1400 of boost.

ASIC means sweet FA to anyone not doing LN2 overclocking, I've had cards with a 64 ASIC that overclock better than cards with a 70+ ASIC.

With Maxwell ASIC does matter.
Had four 980Tis, they pretty much scaled as far as maximum clocks(keeping stock voltage).

And ASIC dictates how efficient the core is, how someone can think that doesn't matter (especially air cooled) is beyond me ._.

Work mate of mine has 3 980 Ti's in SLI, All 3 have different ASICS yet all 3 overclock to roughly the same clocks within maybe 10-20MHZ of eachother.

Same with my experience when I had 2 780 Ti's, They both had vastly different ASIC scores yet overclocked just the same.

I'll put it this way:
Card 1: 1500 core, 60% Asic. Won't be stable at 1.9v
Card 2: 1500 core, 79% Asic. Stable at 1.9v.

It can matter.

Urgh, just typed a longggg response... Forum had an expired token, what ever that means.

In short, I can clock my memory very well! Any higher and I have issues. The core, not so much. At 150Mhz, it seems fine (what it's been at for ages), anymore and instant lockups/issues.

I'm running stock at the moment, but this is what I could get with a stable test.
