So our department is trying to come up with ideas for a Christmas party/event for 25 people. Probably a days sort of activity with some nice food and drinks too.

Last year there was only 12 of us and we did a detective agency/room escape thing, had a slap-up meal and stayed the night in a 5 star hotel in central London. Very nice indeed.

Things on the cards so far are some sort of master chef type thing in teams, clay pigeon shooting on the Thames (!?), and the usual day out doing team building (getting merry) at a nice hotel outside of London. But we want to do something a bit different, not your usual go-karting/team building etc.. The more random the better!

So good ocuk folks, any ideas? Has to be in/near London. What are you all doing for your Christmas parties? :)

Go waterboarding.

See who can last the longest.

You want a team building exercise, that's the ultimate right there. No-one really likes their work colleagues, you're all forced into an office/factory because the company pays you some cash for your time at their premises to do their bidding and make the rich CEO even richer. Who your workmates are isn't a particularly important factor when they shoehorn all sorts of different personalities into confined personal space. A waterboarding experience (available at most Debenhams and House of Fraser) really lets you appreciate just how much you hate your job and the people you work with, as you revel in their distress and sheer terror. And then.... it's your turn. Head back and enjoy the ride sunshine.
