Who makes the best Pizza?

Every city/largeish town has at least one independent pizza take-away way better that Dominos, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut imo.

Regardless of price, the pizzas aren't great and the toppings are neither interesting, novel or good quality.

Every pizza I have had except a very few, the base is too thick. :(

That's not how pizza should be, it should have a thin crispy base and a generous topping. I hate the soggy base pizzas you get now.

Local place to me, all hand made, proper wood fired pizza oven. Delicious. And some amazing toppings as well as the regulars

Have a look at this and be jealous!

Where else does "Antonio: tomato, fior di latte, prosciutto crudo, figs, rocket & walnut pesto & shavings of 24th aged Parmesan. "?

or "The Forager: mixed wild mushrooms, red onion, truffle oil and Rosemary"

or "Three little pigs with local Cumberland sausage and black pudding with smoked speck and thyme"

or "Bluto: tomato, fior di latte, smoked Scottish salmon, olives, pecorino & chilli
Flakes" :D

I like Sainsbury's pizza counter over Asda personally. But I also like Dominoes and Pizza Hut. Favourite is bolognese pizza from the local chippy though.

We are super spoilt here... I have Sal's Pizza - Classic American style massive pizza (think ninja turtle eating Pizza and you have the size right.) Hells Pizza (Kiwi Pizza joint - they sell epic super spicy pizza's) and Toto Pizza (1m long Pizzas that are AMAAAZING)

Probably Toto>Sal's>Hells>Pizza Hut>Dominos

There's a cafe near my office that does mexican food and pizzas, £5 to sit down and eat a 11" pizza in central London is amazing value. The fact it's freshly made and tastes amazing is a bonus.

Pray tell, where is this place?

I like the pizza express pizzas they sell in waitrose. :) any flavour.

My wife sometimes buys me the Romana Diavalo and then adds a little chorizo/onion to make a killer pizza. She is also good at embellishing their hand stretched thin & crispy spicy pepperoni pizzas.

I only ever order pizza when on a special. You can get 999 large from pizzahut with code ge1119 I used that for years. Papajohns sometimes does the 999 for large pizza as well. Never paid full price for a large in my life. They want almost £20 these days. Crazy.

I don't like domino's pizza as they use corn flower and makes me feel sick. I do miss their subs though. Used to get them for lunch on weekend :(

In order (Papa Johns being favorite)
Papa Johns>Pizza Hut>Dominos>Local kebab shop>Chicago Town Takeaway>Pizza Express>Asda Pizza counter>Goodfella's Takeaway

Ditto, would like to know!

Personally, as long as there is a decent deal on (i.e. BOGOF) I'm pretty happy with Dominos.

There is a local place that does an 18" pizza for 10.99 delivered, but it's not quite as nice.

Not going to lie. I like them all:

As they say - pizza is a lot like sex; even when it's bad, it's still pretty good.
