You're talking about the same devs who done an excellent job on porting MGS to last gen consoles including the PS Vita.
They are in no shape or form bad developers.

I've never understood how someone can love a console and hate everything else so much. I doubt even Microsoft employees defend their console/bash PS4 so vehemently.

Agreed. I was pretty much an Xbox 360 only guy last gen, but I never hated the PS3 at all, I still actually owned one. I just preferred Xbox. I don't see the need to hate or belittle something you don't like. Just ignore it and move on.

For everyone that cannot read properly, I have not made any reference to Xbox being better here.
I've compared two games, both of which are in fact on PS4. Tomb Raider is the better game, and this Uncharted demo has made this very apparent.
Uncharted Collection demo:
1) Graphics are definitely worse than Tomb raider.
2) Buggy rag doll effects
3) clunky "floaty" controls of drake. Tomb raider's are much sharper and less instances of getting stuck on scenery etc.
4) weak gun effects
5) long initial load time
6) Worse presentation than tomb raider in the menus
7) more simplistic gameplay mechanics. No weapon upgrades, skill points etc.
Uncharted 2 has aged massively and the fact that naughty dog have put arguably the best part of Uncharted 2 in (the building collapse) and it's still weak, says it all.

Totally. This collection is being released for fans of the series that would like to replay in 1080p 60 fps, something the ps4 will allow, or for the many that didn't get the chance to play due to owning only an Xbox 360. It's not being released to compete with tomb raider.
The df article on this collection was very positive, more positive then the xbone tomb raider game due soon ironically , but that's besides the point. It's just crazy how he belittles anything other then Xbox , wish a mod would just ban him from this sub forum.

Not played Tomb Raider so I can't really say, but they look fine to me, and 60fps is more of an improvement than any minor graphical changes.
Not noticed this, and in the scheme of the demo level, I doubt I would even notice.
Seems fine here, maybe that is the difference between 30fps Xbox tomb raider controls and 60fps uncharted?

Don't spend my life staring at menus, but seemed adequate whilst I had a quick look at what new options were there.
It's a remaster it isn't going to be changed. Upgrades and skill points absolutely not needed in this. Crafting and upgrades seemed fine in Last of Us though, so Naughty Dog can absolutely do it right.
Most games with set pieces age massively, once you have seen them that's it. But the same goes for lots of games including other popular franchises such as CoD, and even Halo.
Not sure anyone was arguing it was or wasn't better than Tomb Raider - this is an Uncharted thread after all. Personally I lost interest in Tomb Raider after the endless reboots - I much prefer a coherent franchise with characters I can follow between games.

So does it stack up well to the PS3 originals guys? Loved all 3 Uncharted games and i'm thinking that if I ever get a PS4, this will be an essential purchase.
It's a polished version of the originals. They have added some decent AA, V-sync and it runs at 60fps.
It's uncharted running on hardware that can do the game justice. It looks and plays great.
I played them to death on the PS3 and was dubious of this at first but have pre-ordered and looking forward to replaying without screen tear, jaggies and a decent frame rate.

Tomb Raider is a 2013 game, originally on PS3/360. Definitive edition is a remaster also.
The defensiveness demonstrated here is borderline fanatical.
