10 dead in a US college shooting

It's worrying how that when you see it on the news it's not even a surprise anymore. It will never stop because it's just got to a point where there are way too many guns in America to control.

Some of the comments here are very ill thought out. 142 includes discharged firearms & suicides... not killings. Take 300 million people from Europe and report on the amount of school stabbings / suicides since 2012 please... It would be interesting to see the comparison.
 
I'd like to think this is the one that kicks them into doing something about it, but we all know that's not that case. It's be the same circle and ridiculous arguments as usual.

"He would have gotten a gun from somewhere, so why ban then?"
"More guns would have meant he got taken down quicker"
"There's just too many out there to even consider changing the law"

Sadly it'll probably end with armed guards on college grounds but not a damn thing done about the underlying issues, again.

Crappy thing to happen. Dont understand why people just outright want to ban guns however when they are legally owned and used properly. A few bad morons spoil it for the rest of the country which is what happened here in the UK.

At least one of the firearms the actor claims was used in a mass shooting—an Uzi submachine gun—has never been used in a single documented murder in the history of the United States.

You cant try to justify guns with something totally unrelated. They should ban alcohol and drugs in America then as I'm sure more than 10 will die by weekend there as well...

I'm not even just talking about the guns, they are never going away. But there is obviously something very wrong with America for these school shooting to keep happening.

Lol whut? You mean drawing a conclusion based on the facts of Sandyhook? I thought that it was proven to be fake (eg picture of kid killed was also on a mural wall in a suicide bombing at a school in Pakistan as an example)

You can make a AR 15 legal in NYC and again with a Mac 10 " Uzi " Can be made legal in NYC with the correct weight and pre ban sten mags.

I think I understand why you made that comment...because that's what OcUK typically says when someone blows up a market place in Baghdad.

They also save lives in home invasion situations, car-jackings, rape, robbery. But that for the most part gets ignored. People are killed by cars, knives, alcohol etc but guns get most of the bad focus.

My apologies for the lack of massacres, it was a sky news headline broadcast as I typed it that cited The WT as a source. I guess their stats counted guns fired alongside killings, either way ridiculously high.
