Opinions on bodywork and recommend a bodyshop in Derby

Hey guys,

Asking on behalf of a friend who was ran into last week. Only affected the front bumper but there is a hole and it seems to have shorn off a bit of the end of the front impact barrier. Will she likely need the barrier changed too? The people who drove into her drove off really quickly (couldn't get plate) and the police had zero interest. Any ballpark figure on cost to fix?

Finally, can you guys recommend good bodyshops in the Derby area, please?

It'll be hard to tell without taking the bumper off, but it looks like the crash bar is bent and has probably lost its strength on that side, so should probably be replaced.

If it's just a graze and no deformation then maybe not.

Probably new bumper and crash bar plus paint - at a guess:

Bar £50-100
Bumper £150
Paint £150
Crash bar and nee bunper asseming labour £50-100

Say £500

It could have course be sorted much cheaper than if using second hand parts and someone does a bit of the labourlabour themselves

Take it to TC Harrison in Derby they have a bodyshop. I would say £500-600 a new bumper painted from Ford is £450-500 I believe.

It's a bit further afield but I've been very pleased with scratch repairs done by CRS in Chesterfield. The quotes I was given were similar to independent body shops. They are approved by several manufacturers and provide a courtesy car (just something small like a C1 or Aygo unless you own one of the manufacturers they do approved body shop work for).

Car got keyed. It was paintwork but they do bodywork too.
