Lol. Well get you captain tax payer! Excellent assumption to make though without knowing him. Paying tax doesn't mean you're not a complete bell though. Not earning a lot to pay tax on doesn't make you someone who doesn't enrich others.

What is clear in the middle east is that there's too many religious factions all with slightly different interpretation of the magic fairy story that they waste their life on. The only way one can rule over there is with an iron fist to keep the rest in line.
Remove the iron fist and the fighting starts immediately. We were all deluded to think democracy could work it simply can't.

I think quite a lot of armies would have turned and ran with the news Isis were coming to town, the sheer brutality and take no prisoners attitude is what has gained them ground. They haven't got anything over here or in mainland Europe yet they have managed to strike fear into everyone
No one is. Every country needs immigration, there isn't a country in the world that has all the skills it needs to prosper.
The problem is as I see that it needs to be controlled, diverse and not isolationist where we limit it to one people from one continent or religion as that would be insanity.
Problem is, that's what we are doing, and we are not even bringing the quality migrants in numbers from there.
If you are a Chinese student who attends university here, leaves fully qualified and speaks perfect English after years of making a life here you'll be booted out of the country the second you get your degree in favour of this uneducated non English speaking, hyper conservative religious shower of hatred coming over from the middle east.
Only the the most teary eyed liberal shouldn't be able to see the problem in that.

We should have granted citizenship to every resident of Hong Kong after the handover and call it a day for our immigration targets. We would have had hard working aspiring valuable citizens. Instead we pursue lunacy and bring over religious zealot nutters by the boatload who just want a handout.
