Thoughts?

starts from monday.

I am ****ed and gutted about this especially the supermarket bags made of toilet tissue paper.

Seriously i wouldnt pay 5p for a tesco bag where if u out more then 2 cans of beans teh bag will rip.

Can i get my money back then if that happened?

Utter farce.

I dont waste my plastic bags and always reuse them around the house so am not one of the guys who wastes them.

The nags from retail are better built though and are definitely worth the 5p charge but the tesco and other supermarkets can go do one

Its just a scam, if they were so concerned they would use degradable Plastic bags.
In Wales you have to pay for Mcdonalds paper bags that are already recycled paper, even bigger scam.
The 5p bags in Aldi,Lidl are way better than Asda,Tesco

I will have to buy bin bags now. Which will mean more plastic and more pollution. So I will probably just suck it up and pay the 5p per bag instead.

Tesco were giving away free bags for life this morning, I'll keep mine in the car but I imagine I'll still forget to bring it in with me :(

It's about flippin' time if you ask me. Why people insist on using 23 plastic bags on their weekly shop is beyond me. You could get two bags for life and just use those. They're much easier to pack and carry, and they fit way more in. It's so much easier to carry two bags-for-life rather than 6 different plastic bags. When you see people struggling with those horrendous Tesco bags you just have to laugh. Idiots.

Also, my girlfriend has a collapsable shopping crate. For those that actually go out and do a 'big shop' it's brilliant. Chuck it in your trolley, and when you're at the till you just chuck everything in it. Way easier than packing bags. When you get to your car you just put the whole crate in the boot. Every time we're at the tills with that we get a comment of people going "oh that's brilliant we should get one!".
