So i haven't been abroad for a while. Whats the deal with EE and using data abroad? Or does it depend on my current contract? Pricey to use data?

Trying to sift through EE website for more information but wanted advice from you lot. :)

Edit: Going to Madeira.

Definitely still too expensive with EE for abroad roaming. When i go away mobile data is turned off and i use hotel wifi or if out and about in most places in Europe you are never too far from a free hotspot.

Or if your phone is unlocked/dual sim then buy a local sim card. Last time i went to Romania i paid 8 Euro for 10GB of data for 1 month.

I was abroad and the place had public WiFi so I bought a 2 week pass for 35 euros which is good value... Wasnt the quickest but worked well.. Maybe Madeira has similar?

Depending on where you are going take a look at a Three pay as you go sim. Could save a bunch if it's in the "Feel at Home" thing.
