I'm buying a brand new car online.

Today I received the registration document in the post. Car was registered to me on the 30th Sep.

How early should these be registered?

As far as I know car is still due second week in Oct. Guess it might have been registered early to fit into the quarter (my offer might have been based on that)

Not signed any finance documents yet.

Will obviously contact the dealer but just wanted to check as to what would be normal procedure.

Thats annoying, as the warranty begins from date of registration doesn't it?

Thanks, I'd not thought of that.

Will keep it in mind when I speak to them.

What car are you buying?
If it's a Kia or Hyundai with 10 years warranty then 2 weeks really makes no difference.

Found out it had to be registered to get the finance offer I had on it. (Cheaper to finance then pay cash).

Car is in the country, anyone driving past Bristol docks on the M5 should be able to spot it.
