Nexus 5 2015 refresh

It depends if the mobile radio bands differ which usually they do. The previous N5 had two models. A D821 and D820. These were for North America and the other for the rest of the world.

I ordered this from Google for something like £340....I've noticed it at Carphone Warehouse for £300.

Is there any different or should I just cancel my order and order from CPW?

Whilst I was on the CPW website I noticed the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, looks very good, how do they phones compare?

The warranty situation is far better from Google. You get a two year warranty and if you have any problems they replace your phone with a new one the next day (refurbished at some point in the future). The refurb has a two year warranty from the day it is delivered.

Contrast that with CPW, where you have to send your phone to be repaired and I've had some bad experiences (phones arriving in poor condition, slow response, etc).

I'd always go Google, even if it costs more.

Same reasons as why I've gone through Google too. Especially for little difference.

I'd agree with the 6P where its only a tenner difference, but £40 is quite a saving. I assume its still 2 years with CPW, just not the same level of service?

It doesn't matter where you get the phone. The warranty is with LG / Huawei. So you'll get 2 years, regardless of whether you buy it from Google or cpw

FF what swayed you to the nexus over the Z5 you showed an interest in? I'm in the same boat and have a Z5c on preorder but tempted to swap to a nexus.

Love my current N5. So I'm hoping it will continue my love for nexus devices.

The features are good enough for me and pure android really helped to sway me. Also the fact that it has got better specs than the current N5 (camera in particular and sightly bigger battery) means it should tick all my boxes. And it was considerably cheaper than the Z5 and I don't feel the premium of the Sony adds hundreds of pounds worth of features in comparison.

It was a close call. However the review of the camera on dxomark and the initial reviews so far seem good enough for me. I want a simple phone that works and takes decent pics and lasts a day or so. The nexus 5 does this already and I love the android/Google ecosystem.
