cars like this are exceptions to my usual hatred for cars that are trying to be something they are not like the MR2 to Ferrari 360 conversions.
If you're going to copycat, building a replica of a classic car that is as unattainable as that is the way to do it.

Friend of a friend works at Ford, got sent some photos of their Focus RS test car, apparently the only one in the UK currently.
Apparently its been tuned to 380bhp and is on its second engine already at 3000 miles due to some rather brutal testing
They spent the weekend driving it around Sussex it seems!
Goes into production in November I have been told

Er... it's being released shortly, not sure how production is November.
Also, if it's on its second engine in 3000 miles then I'm concerned, I know people who get in their car, start it, floor it from point a to point b and the engine still has 130k miles... (this is a chevy too.... it's as bad as you think).
Think you've been told wrong or the engine is terrible.. also not sure why they'd bother tuning it if it's a test mule.

I understand its released next year, so November doesn't seem too late surely.
No idea about the reliability on the engine, I have been told the tuning was done by Mountune, apparently they have a pretty close relationship with the ford?
I got all this second hand so I can be 100% certain on it!
