You may have noticed new forum has appeared (I know some of you have looked at it already
).
We have created a "forum disputes" section which you can see at the bottom of the "Life" forums (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=11).
Similar to the MM disputes forum, thread starters will only be able to see their own threads and not those of others, giving them the opportunity to speak directly to the moderating team (Dons and Admins).
This will be a place where people will be able to discuss moderating decisions and keep it off the forum.
As such people who feel they want to bring up either a complaint or just share a thought about the moderation of a certain item should be referred to this area of the forum. The rules will be amended to state than complaints regarding moderation will not be tolerated on the public side of the forums but should be address to the team in private. That said, you should feel free to be as open and frank as possible (without breaching the rules - i.e. insults and swearing). We ask that if you do have a complain that you post with respect and with a well presented argument rather than a rude rant. The whole team will be able to respond - it will not be a "ganging up" exercise, but an opportunity for us to share our reasoning and the interpretation of the rules as listed in the FAQs. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/faq.php
Hopefully this should alleviate tensions between certain members and the moderating team, and may drive improvements to the quality of posts and make this place an even better place than it currently is.
If you feel your issue is too sensitive to share with the team please do contact one of the Administrators (Commissarios) directly instead. However we do encourage you to share openly.
I hope you see these steps as a positive move to not only try and be more open with you but to try and minimise any possible misunderstandings. It gives you a chance to have your say in a more relaxed environment.
Please read the stickie at the top of the forum. Also please let us know if you have problems with that forum.
