Honestly, how many moderators ever admit to getting something wrong and removing a suspension?
There needs to be a clear set of rules; that each moderator abides.
When a user is suspended; it would be nice to have the option to enter in to a discussion with the moderator that took action, and their reasoning explained (including which rules were broken) and where this happened. So you could click a button on the suspension screen, to create a post in this 'sub forum', that should be open to all members, where the post which got the user suspended was quoted and the user would be able to explain themselves and the moderator could explain themselves.
It should be open to members, if there is a case where a moderator has gotten it wrong, having third parties to help out (including other moderators) would be a benefit in my opinion. Where as now, there is no transparency, if you question moderators it is done in private, they do not have to explain themselves and more often then not will not remove suspensions or admit to mistakes.
I think it creates tension, where there really should be none.
Yeah the overly harsh MM rules need looking at, plus I think the mods there haven't ever heard of being consistent.
P.s you should make the mods forum public so you can prove its not longer full of race hate![]()
'more open' in a private sub forum?
What's brought this on?
Having a post moderated or being suspended or banned shouldn't be an issue for people, suck it up and move on to either another subject or another forum.
There are.
MM rules are there to protect buyers and sellers alike. The rules are necessary to avoid abuse or people getting ripped off.
As for the last point I have to say that I find that offensive. If you can't get over that times have changed then please feel free to leave. I find it actually quite rude. If you're joking then it isn't really funny.
Thanks for your positive suggestions however.
It is a first step. Let it go.
I've had many a sleepless night about the infraction I received for alluding to a well known meme.
The mod didn't know his memes and probably isn't even a real Admiral either.
Maybe I should file a strongly worded complaint.
, that changed!
Surely you see it though? 'We want to be more transparent' 'Things will be discussed in private'.

I agree with what Doofer said;

Several in my time.
You can't get your email from trust, they have to be trust messages, trust doesn't give out email address, that's down to you by replying to the emails.
