Nexus 5 2015 refresh

Could do with a case recommendation actually, with the raised camera I'd like to get a case which disguises this somehow

I've had the Poetic bumper for the N4 and it's done well, their cs was excellent when the rubber started to come away and they replaced for free.

EDIT: Just ordered the Spigen case for £6.99, looks really good!

You won't be disappointed with the spigen. I have one on my old N5 and they are really good. Pity it doesn't come in black though (assuming you went for the ultra hybrid one)

Love my current N5. So I'm hoping it will continue my love for nexus devices.

The features are good enough for me and pure android really helped to sway me. Also the fact that it has got better specs than the current N5 (camera in particular and sightly bigger battery) means it should tick all my boxes. And it was considerably cheaper than the Z5 and I don't feel the premium of the Sony adds hundreds of pounds worth of features in comparison.

It was a close call. However the review of the camera on dxomark and the initial reviews so far seem good enough for me. I want a simple phone that works and takes decent pics and lasts a day or so. The nexus 5 does this already and I love the android/Google ecosystem.

Cheers dude. It's this or a z5c . Really need to decide...

I've pre-ordered this from CPW last week and got the acknowledgement email, but no confirmation one. No money has left my account (strange that is an issue for concern!) but I've not had anything from them to say the order has been rejected either.

Contact them?

I stuck with Google. Couldn't be bothered switching for £30 and potential issues with warranties etc. plus I'd probably end up at the back of the pre-order list at CPW and end up getting it after Christmas or something.

Was a bit worried a plastic phone was the wrong choice but tbh i think i'm happy with it. More comfortable, less breakable etc. My SGSII is plastic and has never been in a case in its 4+ years on this earth, treated terribly etc and is still in really good condition. People say the 3210 was indestructible but I think the SGSII would give it a run for its money.

Let me know what you find, my brief search just brings up USB C > USB A cables

Play store has a OTG cable. It is £10 though. I noticed the rainforest has a USB-C to USB-A adapter made by Aukey which has just been reduced from £25 down to £10. I just bought the one from Google Play store along with another cable.

I think in terms of materials the Nexus 5 (2013) is one of the best built smartphones around with its almost rubbery back. It might not look well built depending on your viewpoint, but it feels utterly premium and the grippiness of it means it takes some effort to drop it, and it has not once slid out of my pocket. It still looks like new two years on - the only thing I can see is what looks like a tiny chip on the lens housing. I've not used a case or screen protector but there's still no other scuffs or scratches visible to the eye.

If the N5x 2015 is built using the same materials you won't be disappointed. It's very different to the old plastic Galaxy devices.

I'm in the same quandary, love the size of the Z5c but equally appealing is the vanilla android of the Nexus, really do not know what to do.

Is there any real life battery usage data anywhere apart from on paper, for the Nexus 5x? I need something to get me through the day...

My N5 lasts a day at the most with medium use, always has done. If I actually use it the way I want to use it, I get a lacklustre result.

I'm not prepared to sacrifice again, the features I need just to make the battery last a reasonable day.
