Called at the local supermarket on the way home, bought a few odds and ends, got £50 cash back, did my usual thing of just rolling up the cash in the receipt.
Just had a shower and go changed, took the money out of the rolled up receipt to put in my wallet, £60 instead of £50.
Ok no big thing £10 too much. The guy who served me I have been served by lots of times, I think he's a pensioner just working part time. Is he going to be in trouble for the mistake? being £10 down on the till. Or will it have passed as just a quirk of the system and when I take back the £10 when I call in tomorrow, would that end up with him in trouble?
