Hey, I am looking to to build my own custom WC in my PC just for the CPU for now but as you can guess I have no idea where to start as I've never water cooled before.

However I have saw this thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18695604

Which has the 250mm Raijintek reservoir and the pump I really like them as the res sits on the pump,( Or would I be better with the XSPC D5 Photon pump + res?) I have a Corsair Air 540 case so I would need a 280m rad on the top, with two fans, No idea what fittings I'll need etc.

Could someone make this up for me? cheers.

what exactly are you asking do you want somebody to list parts youll need or somebody to build it for you

Yes just a parts list that will all work together with either the D5 Photon pump and res combo, or the Raijintek combo, My theme is Red + Black

You can fit a 360mm rad in the front of a air 540.

Yes but I'm not watercooling my GPU for now so I will not need that, I will add one in the future.

Why wouldnt you fit a 360 now to save buying one in the future?

Not only that but you get a better choice of fans using a 360 as they use 120m whereas the 280 uses 140m. Infact cant think of a good 140mm watercooling fan

Apart from Phanteks 140SP, Corsair SP140 and NB Eloop 140's. Maybe others too.

Also don't see the logic in buying a 360 now to avoid having to buy one later tbh.

ED
Evian, have a look in here for ideas. Plenty of different ways to go about it in a 540.

A lot of the time, speccing loops isn't really done here because there are so many variables with styling/positioning etc and how you want things to look is really up to you.

Just follow the basics of two compression fittings per component in the loop and make sure to pick tubing that matches the size of the fittings.
You'll probably need a few angled fittings too, but again, which ones and how many depends on what layout/style you go for.

Anyway, have a gander and come back to us with a better idea of what you want and we'll help you refine it if needed :)

I was thinking of my graphics card as that takes intake air from the front of the 540 case which is where the 360 rad would go, It would then be taking hotter air through it? [GPU that is]

Well at the moment I have 5 AF120's, 2 SP120's and 1 AF140 as exhaust, I would imagine I'll be needing more SP120's or are these crap compared to the Ek Vardar's?

Sorry, just edited my post while you were posting.

Right now, you are better off with running a rad up top with just a cpu loop.
Vardar's are probably a little better, but not enough to justify messing up your aesthetics. SP's will do just fine.

Incorrect.

If you have not used doesn't mean they don't exist.

If you have the space for 2 x 120 or 2 x 140 why would you go 120?

Had all 3 fans, all great, the NB Eloop is absolutely amazing for low noise situations.

That is just my viewpoint I realise, but I keep see people saying "No need to use 140 MM rads" and with the improvement in cases, its no longer true.
