A toddler is expected to make a full recovery after a near-fatal car accident caused his head to detach from his spine.
Jaxon Taylor, who is just 16 months old, was in a head-on collision in New South Wales, Australia.
His C1 and C2 vertebrae were broken, separating his head from his neck. His sister was also badly injured.

This is an absolutely amazing story! Thank God for such wonderful medical technology! It is amazing what the medical profession can do these days.

Sounds horrific but it is a broken neck as two vertebrae were broken and he'd have most probably died if the spinal cord had been damaged. A very luck boy!

Dowie, i see your edit. Each to their own anyway. No problem

It is truly amazing. One can't imagine the terror and relief of the parents! I was gobsmacked when i read the headline.

Yes, a spinal separation of sorts, his head certainly wasn't reattached in any sort of conventional sew it back on manner.

I had when they take headlines too far, but this seems to have been the method of reporting from the very start in this story.
Gives people the suggestion thing can be done that still remain impossible to us, I feel this is a bad thing.

^ Oh god.. Now that's the reason this thread will get closed :D

That is amazing for someone to survive, I didn't know such thing was possible and to make a full recovery!?

:D

you've gotta ask - why didn't the Lord let this happen before now? Wasn't very nice of him to just sit and watch as previous toddlers had this issue

I equally blame Muslims, Scottish independence, road tax, "just boiling an egg - kinda bored right now" and haribo.

That's a fantastic story and one very lucky little boy. As a devout atheist I have failed to attach any additional meaning to the event.
