Hey all, whats the accepted wisdom on the best budget case for a air cooler Matx or ATX build?

Need one for a build I'm doing for a mate, media pc, GFX will be onboard. Current front runner is one of the Fractal Core 1000

Thanks.

I'd check out the Bitfenix Nova that launched today and will be available from the 20th October.

Looks good. Thanks.

No pics of the cable mangement space on here or manufacturer website though. How is it?

Minimal, there's some space for cable routing from the PSU up to the motherboard and drive bays, but it's not going to offer that much space for anything else.

I have built a core 1000 for an office pc, its pretty cramped and no cable management, quality not up to usual fractal. might be better to get the bitfenix nova being an atx case will have a bit more room. Non windowed version if you worried about cable management spoiling view.. also a semi modular psu might help, as you wont need quite a few cables

Ta, My mate isn't too worried about a window as it'll be sitting out of sight. His only stipulation is to keep it fairly small. Cable management space is more for my own enjoyment of the build!

I have a basic PC built into a Core 1000, USB 2 model which was a bargain at £15 new. Like others say though it has no cable management, limited HDD placement, average cooling, and is poorly made and pretty ugly.

You also have to remove the front panel to clean dust out of the foam cell mesh filter.

Great case for a budget build in its day, but that Nova looks more worth the money!
