ASUS Maximus VII Hero

Just wondering if the ASUS overclocking remote control tool that comes with some of the rampage boards is compatible with mine and can it be bought on its own?

Mine is the ASUS Maximus VII Hero Skylake board

My Hero VI has a header for it on the centre bottom edge of the board. It looks like yours has it too. It's marked ROG_EXT. List of supported boards and available function are under the product description here.

***Edit*** Your post threw me off a bit there. The Z170 is the Maximus VIII Hero and isn't on the list as it's not been updated. I just checked some reviews of the Heor VIII and it still has the header in the same place so I presume it still works with the newer boards.

Cheers dude. TBH its a pointless tool really but but it looks cool and that was pretty much my only benefits of jumping from Haswell to Skylake so what the heck
