True, but the seats are on rails, it'd be a couple of hours work for a small team to take out some seats and adjust the remainder to redistribute the legroom.

oh i didn't mean that i just meant the number of people wanting to travel each year goes up faster than the number of planes

My concern is whether they can evacuate everyone in a stacked position quickly and safely in an emergency.

i cant see it ever happening tbh, possibly just some internal project to come up with new ideas.

I'm 6'3 and it's very uncomfortable. I cannot imagine how taller people manage. I'd also add that I am not overweight (14st 9lb) and I still feel like I am hunched up on my seat.

They definitely don't make seating for normal sized blokes.

I'm 5'11", my inside leg is 37 1/2" and outside leg is 42/43".

I am 6ft exactly and frankly I almost never have an issue with legroom in economy. Part of this is because I am selective about who I fly with but being so isn't that restrictive and doesn't cost me excessive amounts.

Just got back from Los Angeles and the legroom was absolutely fine - there was space between my knees and the seat back. What more do you want for 450 quid return? The reviews for my carrier were universally awful - continual complaints about cramped seats, poor legroom... yet it was absolutely fine. As it is every time..

People love drama and they to love to whinge. They also love cheap fares. A nice mix..

I said "normal sized" not pint sized. Jesus!

No but seriously, there is a little more leg room on long haul flights as standard.

Planes havn't been to bad, or maybe its just the airlines I fy with. Buses and trains however are another story the seats sometimes have 6 inches between the seats, or at least thats what it feels like. I have one leg in the aisle and the other taking up half the other passengers' leg space. Its painful, literally so at times. If I'm lucky I get a seat on a train at one of those tables inbetween facing each other which at least means no seat immediately in front but with my feet invading most of the space of the person opposite with corresponding withering looks. I CAN'T HELP IT i SWEAR!
