yeah, even reference models will do 1400 overclocked, but that isn't what you were talking about

Actually yes I was. Dnt tell me what I wasnt or was talking about. If anyone knows its obviously me and if u read I was talking about this whole stock crap ppl bangin onabout... when reference models overclock well past thier stated Base line clock. Aibs cards only do a extra couple hundred on air at best. Well Nvidia 980ti does anyways. The Amd cards dont do this. So saying errr but nerrr its reference... Is a stupid argument when the reference 980ti dosnt even stay near its reference clocks.

Some high frame times there bud. Anything above the 33ms is called a stutter. Reason for that cut off point. Some people even feel slow render times just below that 33ms time.

See you also using fraps? I would switch to maybe battlefront build in frame latency test might give better results.

It's at 4k, you don't know what you're talking about lol. This is what happens when you look at websites all day, folks... Read it, it's an 8 minute span. 16.2 average at 62 frames per second.

The 980Ti (reference and AIB) will generally OC to 1450-1500ish. The issue is keeping those clocks, while it may seem logical that AIB custom cooled version will hold OCs longer this is not my experience. My 980Ti EVGA SC+ ACX will happily OC to 1450 but will drop to mid 1300s after 15-20 minutes in W3. The AIBs dump air into the case and this does not help keeping the GPU cool.

I only managed to eliminate this core clock dropping by adding AIO WC Accellero Xtreme Hybrid. This kept the core clock at 1430-1450 OC.

Obviously the 980Ti is an excellent overclockers compared to AMD Fury X, AKA "overclockers dream" (still makes me laugh). Though it must be considered that base boost clocks on even reference 980Ti cards are generally 1270-1300 or so. They just don't stay there long, though most reviews cottoned on to this Nvidia unsustainable speed boost that only lasted 10-15 minutes at best.

So in general most review sites will run their cards for a heat up period. When they do the 980Ti is still overall a superior card to an R9 Fury X. The Fury X is still an excellent GPU, just overpriced compared to 980Ti IMHO.

My 980Ti runs around 1250 stock boost, which gives roughly 85 fps at 1440p, an OC to 1450mhz gives roughly 100fps.

Mine hits 1329mhz stock boost, clocked it to 1489mhz. Sometimes though the clocks will drop a bit due to temps hitting a certain point in the mid 60's. Cant remember exactly as its a while since I've played any games. But its a bit of a daft idea to have this throttling point on a card that never gets near 70c with a very quiet custom fan curve.

Wow take a chill pill.. I was just adding something to the thread. right or wrong

avg 16.2 is great sure but that still don't rule out that a stutter or two did happen.

FYI
I been in work all day :p

Loving this game, was most impressed by the sound!

Was going to test fps with fraps but see its not supported for windows 10 atm, what are people using?

very impressed with performance and crossfire scaling.

MSI overlay showing around 90% usage on both my cards. No issues staying above 100fps using Ultra @ 1440p. Quite impressive for a BETA.

How did ya get crossfire working? ive tried latest and betas and its not activating crossfire for me. Did you just set your own profile or does the default one work for you?

Mines running ultra at 1440p on one card, should be able to downscale a higher res once crossfire is working.

Nope, just default mate. didn't do a thing, msi AB is showing my clocks on both gpus and usage at 80-90% on both. Also the graphs show usage right up there also. I'll post a screenie tomorrow. Can't see how it would work on 390 crossfire and not 290 crossfire.

Probably won't be buying it. It's just BF4 with a Star Wars theme but with no campaign...

My problem with it is that it's not enough like BF4. I'd much prefer it with proper squads and distinct classes. As it is I think it looks nice, but its to shallow for my tastes.

Trying to stay somewhat on topic though, I haven't measured it yet, but on full ultra settings at 1440p it runs very smoothly on my 980ti and it looks amazing.

You have to tick enable crossfire for applications that don't have an associated profile in CCC. By default there is no profile afaik.
